FAQ's
Q Do I need to bring anything with me?
A No all clean towels, massage
oil, creams etc are provided for you.
Q What should I expect from my
first massage therapy visit?
A Together we will fill in a consultation
form to make sure that there are no medical conditions that will prevent you from having a massage and also to determine whether the massage is
for relaxation purposes, or if there are any conditions you need
addressing and what areas you would like worked on.
Q I have never had a massage before and I am a bit nervous. Am I ok to
bring someone with me?
A Yes of course, they can either sit in the room
with you whilst you have your massage, or there is a separate room where they
can watch tv, listen to music etc.
Q What do I do
during a massage therapy treatment?
A Make yourself comfortable. If I
need to adjust your position I will either gently move you or ask you to move
what is needed, otherwise change your position anytime to make yourself
more comfortable. Many people close their eyes and relax completely
during a session, others prefer to talk. It is up to you. It is your
massage, and whatever feels natural to you is the best way to relax. Do
not hesitate to ask questions at any time.
Q How will I feel after the
massage?
A Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from
long term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity.
After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience
increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which
can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues
during a massage, it is recommended that you drink plenty of water
following your massage.
You could also try having a warm bath to
encourage the release of toxins that may have been stirred up from the
massage treatment.
